Elementary school drawings reveal Ann Edwards Stewart’s early artistic talent and deep connection to the natural world. Sketching and painting her surroundings remained a way for Ann to express herself throughout a lifetime. Born in Ottawa, Canada in 1932, she moved to Colorado after attending the Boston museum of Fine Arts. Out west, Ann found inspiration in the open landscapes and skies. A love of horses, as well as other animals, is demonstrated throughout the vast body of work she left behind. Since her passing in 2020, her four daughters and their families are lovingly curating Ann’s legacy.
